Los Hacheros, a group of five attractive young males from New York spread the sounds of the Caribbean at venues all around New York City. Influenced by the Salsero and Afro-Cuban jazz legends of our time such as Arsenio Rodriguez, Chucho Valdés, and Fania, Los Hacheros intensify the salsa sound by incorporating the fast-paced rhythm and hustle of the city.
The combination of a unique soul like Hector “Papote” Jimenez as lead vocalist, Itai Kriss on flute & percussion, Jacob Plasse on el Tres (a Cuban guitar-like instrument with a rougher sound), Eddie Venegas on trombone and violin, and William Ash on bass, triggers even the shyest of audiences to bring out their dancing shoes.
